We have heard from and worked with many of our customers over the past few years about their interest in virtualization and how it can help them with many of the issues facing IT.

Issues such as hardware sprawl and expense; the inability to be effectively responsive in providing support to the business organizations they support; and the ability to get more utilization from existing HW are the  reasons often sited. More recently we have been hearing a strong interest in virtualized desktop and the need for management tools for the growing virtualized machines within virtualized deployments.

Welcome to ITaaS

VmWare is responding to these "next-step" needs with innovation by providing both vCloud Suite and Operation Management.  These are both designed with features that will allow you to view your virtualized machines through an operation dashboard providing resources to do capacity management and optimization. The overall health monitoring of your virtualized environment becomes a proactive reality which allows you to further expand with confidence and become a proactive and innovative part of your organizations business growth and plan for the future.

The Information Technology as A Service (ITaaS) is right in front of us.

Existing vSphere customers can get started right away with vcOps Foundation.   Additional components can be added for patented analytics and integrated capacity and configuration management. This is where you can move from the reactive mode to being proactive with providing IT services to your organization.

I leave the vmWare conference excited to discuss these management features with you at anytime and welcome your call or email.
